YOUR FORECAST

Image
… Excerpt from Chapter 12 of Pausing With God… One fine morning, the weather man said that a storm was coming in the afternoon.   At the end of my work day, I glanced at the sky. It looked like I might have a good chance to cut the lawn. The sky was overcast with a slight breeze, providing the perfect grass cutting conditions.  I began on one side of the house, and dark clouds were blowing my way quickly. I cut up and down and back and forth, each time peering up at the clouds and watching and waiting for the rain. Sometimes I tried to peek out of the corner of my eye as if God couldn’t see me. I felt the Lord say, “Do not trust what you see, but have faith.”  No sooner had I blown the last patch of loose grass from sidewalk did raindrops begin to fall upon my head. All I could do was look up and this time, it was with a thankful, not fretful, heart.                  Though our current forecast may not be favorable, we do not have to fret when we hear it is going to rain; even a

ARE YOU HIDING?

Great minds think alike.  While I was preparing for this week’s article; I took a break to read an email from my newly found friend - Maryann.  My mouth flung open; the both of us were thinking along the same lines so this week shine Maryann shine!  We pray you are blessed! It dawned on me that so many of us want to be that beautiful girl, (well, m

JUST FOR YOU!

Reflect for a moment on Simba from the Lion King movie, who did not at first accept the responsibility that came with his journey into adulthood.  He found out that life was not always fair or easy, but when he remembered what his father taught him; he was able to go and reclaim his present and his future.    Can you hear Simba roaring that we must not disregard what we can learn on our journey? Menopause is a part of the circle of life.  It is a natural event, which we cannot prevent; but one that we can be equipped for.  As we accept our earthly responsibility, we can trust and leave the rest to our Heavenly Father.  Instead of surrendering to the myths; we can take the time to prepare our mind, our body and our soul for a victorious time of Pausing with God . Throughout the month of April, let’s be more conscious of the type of foods we consume and how they affect our body, how about re-examining our exercise and sleep regime?  There are lifestyle changes that we can use to
