Human beings often define love as an emotion.   Jesus said in John 14:23, 'if we love Him,  we are to keep His word.'   It takes more than emotions to love.  It is a conscious choice,  irrespective of how we feel or recipient's response or reaction.  ...to read more, visit PausingWithGod.com Buy Now on  PausingWithGod.com Buy Now on  PausingWithGod.com    Connect with Author on  [Website/Blog]   [Facebook]   [ Twitter] The following is an aritcle that was written for  Happy Sis Magazine,  Unconditional Love.

From time to time, we like to share testimonies  of Shut - In experiences. This recent shut-in was held in Jacksonville, Florida.    We  pray as you read you are blessed and encouraged to go past the Brazen Altar into the Holy of Holies.    The following notes from the journal of Minister Cherry Lightner   OVERFLOW by Juanita Bynum was playing in the background, I picked up my pen and began to write in my journal. Slowly I gazed around the room and realized that there were ten women present.   Out of the blue, I was called upon to read Scripture, Matthew 25:1-10...thank goodness we all made it in as  ‘The Door Was Shut’.   We were dressed and ready to commune with our bridegroom.               TO READ THE REST OF MY JOURNAL, VISIT  www.PausingWithGod.com   Sheri Powell is the author of Pausing With God, ‘A Journey Through Menopause’ and Pausing With God 'A Shut In Experience'.  Sheri believes every season of our life has a purpose and she aims to encourage women

DANCING TO HIS BEAT

The piano is a widely recognized instrument for its beautiful sound.  Each key has a different range, from soft to strong.  One would think the greater the force, the louder the sound. Actually, it’s not the applied pressure that determines the volume, but the speed with which the keys are depressed.  In addition, relaxed hands tend to give you more control and produce a better sound. Although some are gifted and can play the piano without acquiring any lessons, there are those; like myself who are challenged.  During my first lesson, I was amazed to find that when you sit down to a piano; there is a correct posture for your hands, arms and feet. I have dispelled the myth that you cannot study this instrument while sitting on the couch.
