35 Symptoms of Menopause on the Wall
As promised the 35 Symptoms of Menopause are posted below, but first I must share this story with you. Believe it or not it is a true story.
In preparation for the upcoming Book Launch Celebration, I pumped myself up to clean (5) four pound bags of chicken wingettes. I turned the TV on for giggles and a show called ‘The Closer’ was on. With my hands were full of feathers, I couldn't get over to turn the channel; so this would be my first time watching an entire episode (kidding about the feathers).
In this particular episode, the Deputy Chief of Police, Brenda Leigh Johnson; played by Kyra Sedgwick had not been feeling good for months. She goes to the doctors and the preliminary diagnosis shocks her. The doctor suggested that her symptoms are possibly those of early onset menopause, but they must conduct more tests to be sure.
Toward the end of the show, her boyfriend tried to tell her that her symptoms are …and she hushed him. She didn’t want to talk about it, you see Brenda was in denial, instead of waiting for the truth; she'd rather believe that she has a life threatening illness.
This is one of the main reasons why I felt led by the Lord to complete, Pausing With God. Too many of us are in denial, all alone and in a place where we think menopause is a life threatening disease. Pausing With God, was written to encourage us to find support in one another and with the guidance of the Lord and our doctors we can have a victorious journey through menopause. Tell me God isn’t trying to send us a message and He can use whatever method He wants…teach us Lord!
So here are our symptoms, print them off and highlight the ones you may be experiencing. Make an appointment to talk with your doctor. Have a family meeting and explain that you are about to embark on a journey that will take you to places where NO MAN has gone before and they might as well buckle their seat belts as Scotty beams you up!
